About Roz Turner-Drage MBACP @ Woodcote Counselling – friendly counsellor, experienced in working with adults and young people

One of the goals of counselling is to work towards understanding and accepting yourself, becoming the person you want to be. There may be areas of your life that you don’t understand or behaviours that you want to change. Counselling offers a place where you can look at issues that have been troubling you in a safe and confidential setting; to explore feelings that you find too difficult or confusing to discuss with family and friends.

When you contact me to make an appointment I will arrange a convenient time for us to meet so that you can share what is troubling you and I can answer any questions you may have about me and the counselling that I offer. At the end of this first session, you can consider whether you feel that we can work together effectively. It is important that you choose to work with a therapist that you will be able to build a trusting relationship with.

If after this first session you decide that you would like us to work together then I will offer you regular weekly appointment, whilst we are working together this time of the week will be yours. Counselling is most effective when you come on a regular, weekly basis. If you do shift work we will agree together the best way of ensuring you receive regular counselling.

Counselling can be hard work but extremely rewarding. There may be times during our work together when you find the counselling painful or uncomfortable and you feel like you don’t want to come to counselling. That’s OK and it’s really useful to persevere at these times and be honest about what’s happening so that we can work together to understand your difficulties.

I am an experienced counsellor and youth counsellor helping clients with a wide range of difficulties including:

Depression
Anxiety
Stress
Lack of confidence and self-esteem
Relationship difficulties
Family difficulties
Feelings of loneliness or isolation
Bereavement and loss
Work or study difficulties & stress
