About Williamina Baillie – mbacp
You may be reading this because you are experiencing some difficulties and need to talk to someone, need someone to listen and understand you. You may not know exactly what is bothering you. You may be feeling sad or anxious. As a warm and compassionate therapist, I provide a safe and positive environment where you will be listened to without judgement. I will work with you at your pace, supporting you through your problems and the discovery of your full potential.
People come to therapy for many reasons: feeling stuck, depressed, sad, anxious, addictions, bereavement, work, stress, relationships, suffering from panic attacks, painful emotional experiences – and this is only the beginning of a long list.
Therapy can help as it gives you the opportunity to talk in depth in confidence and safety with a qualified professional who will listen to you closely and help you explore freely and openly.
My life experience and curiosity has enriched my knowledge, experience and friendships with people from all walks of life and from different countries and cultures. I still have so much to learn! I like to see the world from your experience, whatever it may be and to support you with empathic warmth and understanding.
I work with adults. I offer individual counselling on a brief or long-term basis.

From time-to-time I am able to offer concessions so please do not hesitate to enquire.
Training, qualifications & experience
I lived and worked in Paris for 17 years. I have worked in various roles in financial markets throughout my career which gives me a great insight into difficulties that can be faced in the corporate world from work/life balance and career struggles to redundancy and internal relationships.
I hold a Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling from Metanoia Institute in London and a BA (Hons) in Person-Centred Counselling from Middlesex University, London. I have also completed the TA 101 which covers the basic tenets of transactional analysis.
My therapist work and training has spanned many of life’s experiences. I worked for a low cost community based counselling and psychotherapy service in West London. In addition to private practice, I am a therapist at St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney working with bereavement.
I have attended courses or training in a long list of subjects which include bereavement, depression, self-harm, attachment and neuroscience, addiction, trauma and working with gender identity and gender diversity
