About Swynnerton Therapy
I offer counselling and psychotherapy for a wide range of problems including anxiety and panic attacks, addictions, low self-esteem, relationship issues, loss and bereavement, depression, obsessive and compulsive behaviour, sexual issues, sexuality, perfectionism, procrastination and more.
I have extensive experience working in private practice as well as in the public sector and in education as well. I managed a counselling service for Turning Point and Westminster Drug Company for ten years and have taught for almost twenty years at The School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology at Regents University. I also taught at The New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling for many years as well.
My approach to therapy is broadly integrative drawing most especially on humanistic and existential perspectives in my work with clients. I aim to help you get to grips with and ultimately overcome the issues with which you are struggling. I do this by working hard to establish a strong supportive professional relationship. This is essential for you to feel trusting enough of me to open up and share your difficulties. Working together, my role is to assist you in gaining more insight and clarity into the difficulties which you are experiencing. Understanding your situation more fully will enable you to resolve long standing problems and make better informed choices and decisions about how you would like to move forward with your life. If you would like to book an appointment or learn more about how I work, feel free to drop me a line at Swynnerton Therapy.
