About Calm Reflections

Feeling low, down or depressed?  Difficulty sleeping or feeling overwhelmed?

Life can be a struggle and often we feel we have reached a dead end. The stresses of everyday life and relationships can consume us, make us feel stressed, anxious, hopeless and depressed. We can lose the sense of who we are and what is important to us.

Sometimes in life, we find ourselves in a place, where our coping strategies or abilities to manage in life are no longer working and those close to us are unable to help. We need someone who is not part of our lives to listen to us and more importantly, hear us; to help us to see things from a different perspective, to work things through and gain a sense of ourselves again.

Many people describe this situation to me when entering therapy and have been suffering from anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, or panic disorders. By offering a safe, warm, welcoming and confidential space to explore the difficult thoughts and feelings that may be controlling their lives, together we find ways to manage and move forward, to a new sense of freedom that change can offer.

Entering counselling can be daunting and the relationship between therapist and client is fundamental to achieving your goals. Understanding this, I offer a free 30 min initial consultation, prior to our counselling meeting, to give you time to decide if I am the therapist for you.

I understand the financial commitment that entering therapy brings and do not want this to be barrier to people seeking help, so try to maintain my fees at reasonable levels.

I am a qualified (FDSc)  counsellor & psychotherapist, working within some of the main therapeutic approaches; Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), providing an approach unique for each person, embracing their individual needs. I work with my clients on both a long and short term basis.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and practice within the Bromley area. Counselling can be offered face-to-face or via the internet, if required.
