Counselling in Tewkesbury

About Counselling in Tewkesbury

Sometimes we face difficult issues and we need help to find a way forward.  May be you are feeling very anxious, or difficulties in life has caused you to feel very depressed.  This could be due to a bereavement, relationship problems, a stressful job, an empty nest syndrome.  There are many different reasons why people come to counselling to help them with a difficult stage in their lives.  Working from my home, near Tewkesbury, I can offer you a confidential and safe environment – a place to explore your problems. There I will listen to you with understanding and empathy.  I won’t try to tell you what to do or sort your problems out for you but I will provide a space to work with you as you come to your own answers to your problems.

As an integrative counsellor, I use a variety of theories and styles to  suit the needs of the individual person. Therefore, each approach is personal and tailored to your specific requirements.  I am fully experienced in working with children, young people, adults and older adults.

Having completed training with the Foundation for Infant Loss, I am an accredited member and qualified to offer counselling to those who have experienced bereavement due to infant loss by stillbirth, sudden infant death or miscarriage.

I offer short or long-term counselling in abuse, anger, anxiety, bereavement and loss, depression, low self-esteem, obsessive compulsive disorder, relationship issues, self-harm, spirituality, stress, suicidal thoughts, trauma and work related issues. I have helped children with depression, behavioural issues, obsessive compulsive disorder, self-harm, anxiety, family problems, anger, bullying, low self-esteem, dyslexia and bereavement. When working with children, I often use creative counselling skills, play therapy and sand tray therapy to help them engage in the process.
