Relationship Counselling – James Earl

Hampton, Greater London (Richmond upon Thames), TW12
based on 0 review(s).

I work with a wide range of issues that arise in relationships, including communication problems, loss of sex life and other sexual problems, affairs and their aftermath, problems with in-laws, children, teenagers, and ex-partners ; feelings of jealousy, anger, anxiety and depression, and an undertainty about the future of a relationship. Typical problems include ‘things going stale’, ‘lack of passion and excitement’, ‘just not getting on’, ‘living parallel lives’ and ‘thinking about separating.’

I am happy to see a couple individually, if both parties agree. The same rules of confidentiality apply.

Counselling can really enhance a relationship, even when you do not feel you have specific problems, especially in the area of needs being met.

I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Relationship Therapy from the Relate Institute (University of Hull), and a Masters Degree in Social Work from The University of Sussex. I work as a therapist for Relate in their Kingston Centre, and  my private practice is in Hampton. I am also an Assistant Professor at Richmond University.

I am trained in several therapeutic approaches, including systemic, psychodynamic, narrative, transactional analysis, and CBT. I am happy to discuss which might be most suitable for you. I believe the most important aspect of counselling is a friendly, relaxed and supportive relationship between the client and counsellor, based on trust and confidentiality. I am bound by the ethics of the BACP.

I see individuals and couples from Richmond,Twickenham, Kingston, Surbiton, Esher, and across West London, Surrey and beyond. I welcome LGBT individuals and couples.

I also work on Skype with clients who cannot see me in person.
