About Wright Counselling

Hello my name is Tracey and I am a counsellor and psychotherapist working in private practice near Prittlewell Station with quiet, spacious, comfortable rooms, close to Southend centre, and to major bus routes. I am working face to face as well as online using Zoom platform and telephone counselling.

I am aware that getting in touch can be a big step, and to help bridge this gap I offer a free telephone session so you can feel happy that this will be right for you. I offer counselling and psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, children and couples. I am there to listen to you in a non-judgemental, honest, confidential, accepting way to allow you to be able to explore what is going on in your life, and what may not be working for you at the moment. My hope is that you will find this a positive, warm experience, in which you will gain from someone else being able to understand the world from your viewpoint. I always feel privileged to be allowed to be in this position, and I know that trusting someone is crucial to the therapy process.

I am a qualified Accredited counsellor and psychotherapist, members of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and NCS  (National Counselling Society)  using different approaches including CBT as used by the NHS,  adapting to help you to be able to understand and find a unique way ahead in approaching the issues you are finding at the moment. I adhere to the BACP ethical framework and code of conduct which is available from www.bacp.co.uk.

I have experience of working in the areas of relationship issues, depression, anxiety, OCD, addiction, loss, bereavement, abuse and trauma. I have worked at Cruse Bereavement Care undertaking their foundation course on bereavement counselling, and also at Mind, where I have received their mental health training.

My qualifications include Relationship Counselling, Integrative Counselling Diploma, and Advanced Diploma, and an Assessed Supervision Certificate. I am currently a supervisor at Cruse as well as supervising in private practice.

I am fully insured and hold a current DBS check.

The approaches I adopt are:

CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)

Person Centred

TA (Transactional Analysis)

Solution Focused

Existential

Psychodynamic

Play and Creative Therapy

My belief for my practice is that everyone has the ability to change, as you are the most important part in the process of therapy, and I am there to support, provide knowledge, and ways that will give you the power to develop in the way which will help you to deal with life’s obstacles. This can lead to a rewarding and fulfilling time ahead.

Opening Times

I am flexible with hours offering counselling weekdays including evenings, and on Saturday mornings.
