About Sarah Ward

I know from experience, that sometimes life is good and we are well. However, sometimes life’s events, whether past or present, have a way of knocking us off track. Even if we have friends and family, there can be times when we need to talk to a person who is not connected to us. I can offer a safe space with someone who does not mind if you repeat yourself or sound unreasonable; someone who won’t be shocked or whose feelings won’t be hurt, while we explore the nature of what is causing you concern. I work in a Person Centred way which means that in working together, I have belief in you to find the answers which work best for you, and I have completed to high standard, Degree Level modules in working with :

Person Centred & Existential Counselling, Difference and Diversity, Feminist Therapy, Transactional Analysis (TA), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Integrative Skills/Creative Techniques, Addictive Behaviours, LGBT+,  Loss and Attachment, and Abuse and Abusers.

I have spent the past year working for Changing Pathways, formerly Basildon Women’s Aid and am experienced in working with both adults and children and am a Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
