About Violet Hakner Counselling
Life can be challenging and sometimes we need help understanding and processing the difficulties that come our way. I believe that we have the power to make our own meaning from life and that therapy can facilitate understanding, transformation and change.
I believe in the individual – that we are all different and unique, shaped from our own experiences in life. My sensitive and empathic nature means you will feel welcomed, understood and safe in the counselling relationship. I am experienced in helping people through the therapeutic process through an exploration of thoughts and feelings. We can focus on whatever is important to you and I will be beside you, supporting you, throughout your journey.
Some reasons people come to see me include; abuse, addiction, anger, anxiety, bereavement or grief, chronic illness or disability, depression, eating disorders, fears, feelings of emptiness or numbness, loneliness, relationship issues, sadness, self-worth or self-esteem issues, sex and sexuality, stress and trauma.
With my supportive and non-judgemental approach, I can help you gain deeper self-awareness, become unstuck and start living again.
