About Francesca Durosini

I am a qualified professional counsellor and trained in Person Centred Counselling at the University of Brighton.

I currently run my private practice in Brighton and Hove and I have worked in the past in both charitable and college settings with adults and young people. As well as working as a counsellor, I have also worked as a tutor teaching counselling skills courses in a college setting.
My aim is to provide a safe, non-judgemental and accepting space for you to explore in absolute confidence your life, feelings, thoughts and difficulties that you may be experiencing.

I work in a humanistic, mainly person-centred way, which means that I believe that every person is unique and has the ability to grow towards their own full potential and find their own answers within themselves. My wish is to help you explore and make sense of your situation and be with you on your journey as you work through your issues.

I strongly believe in finding a way of working that most suits you, and in offering you a space that most reflects your needs, so I sometimes draw on other approaches to produce a unique therapy adapted to your own wants and wishes.

I have considerable experience and a professional interest in working with issues around anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationships issues, separation and divorce, personal development, boarding school survivors, pregnancy issues and miscarriage.

I work in an LGBTQ+ Affirmative way and I welcome people from all sexual orientations and gender identities.

Having a multi-cultural background I welcome working with people for whom English is not their first language and offer counselling in both English and Italian.

I am British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Registered and I undergo regular clinical supervision.
I hold full insurance in line with BACP guidelines for best practice.
