Deciding to get help is 50% of the solution! Finding the right therapist is the next big step. With the right therapist, you feel understood and safe to explore difficult issues and make changes where necessary. I am a good listener who can help you gain insight into your life to make changes in; your relationships, job, or dealing with multiple issues such as depression and anxiety. I am committed to working with you to meet your unique needs and achieve your goals.
I am a fully qualified therapist with over 15 years’ experience. I am an Accredited Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
My experience includes; running CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) based workshops on anxiety, depression and anger management for adults working with the NHS; counselling young people (YMCA); survivors of suicide; sexual assault and rape (SARC referrals ).
I also work with families as an intergenerational family mediator.
Having lived and worked in 2 different continents I am culturally sensitive when assessing how best to support you. I will support you with whatever the issue without judgment.
Over the years I have specialised in Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). This is a powerful therapy designed to help people recover from traumatic events in their lives. EMDR is recognised by The World Health Organisation (WHO) and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
I look forwards to hearing from.
