Life is never plain sailing, it can be pretty tough at times.
You may struggle with relationships, feel depressed or suffer from anxiety, you maybe struggling after a bereavement or just don't feel yourself. Whatever your situation, you may need a little extra help and support to sort out your thoughts and feelings from someone who is impartial to your situation and will listen without judging and can remain neutral, then I can help you.
As your counsellor, I will provide a safe and confidential space to enable you to explore your thoughts and feelings. I will be with you every step of the way as you begin to understand and perhaps accept what is going on for you, and finding the courage to move on past your issues and make changes to move you forward into a better place.
As well as being friendly and a supportive practitioner, I work ethically within the BACP guidelines and I will always have your best interests at the heart of all therapy sessions. I work in an integrative way as every client is unique, I adapt my therapy style that will best suit the client.
I am a person centred counsellor who has been trained to work integratively which means I draw on other modualities to suit the client. My core model is CBT and I have specialised in working with children as well as adults. I work creatively with the unconscious mind using a technique called drawing & talking therapy, this is ideal for children & adults alike who find it difficult to express themselves verbally, for whatever the reason. It's especially ideal for issues such as trauma, Autism, Aspergers,ADHD, Bereavement and many other issues.
