I am a Client-Centred Counsellor who has been qualified since 2005. I work as a counsellor online (via asynchronous email and IM Skype). I am a member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and of ACTO (The Association for Counselling and Therapy Online).
I am a Client-Centred Therapist with 12 years of counselling experience. I have worked for various voluntary organisations including Cruse Bereavement Care and OCD Action. My work with cruse included seeing client’s face-to-face at a GP surgery/private room, at their home or on the telephone. My work with OCD Action has involved working on a helpline answering calls from people who have been diagnosed with OCD or their carer’s.

Counselling is about being able to offer a safe and confidential environment where the client can explore any issue they wish to bring. By offering empathy, congruence, respect, acceptance and Unconditional Positive Regard. It is not about giving advice but helping to empower the client to find their own way forward.
