I’m Julie; a counsellor supporting people with a wide range of issues; specialising in bereavement and trauma. I am trained in working with those who have experienced domestic abuse.

I offer Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy which is the recommended treatment for trauma in the NICE Guidelines.
If you use the following strategies to manage trauma responses then EMDR may be for you ~ substance misuse, alcohol addiction, gambling addiction, social isolation, self-harm/suicide attempts, risky behaviour, angry or violent behaviour, working too much, distract yourself from your feelings.
When life gets tough we can often do nothing in the hope that things will get better! Often they don’t and sometimes get worse. I can help you to identify what isn’t working and support you in finding new ways of being.
