I am a qualified and BACP registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor based in Plymouth, I work both online and face to face.
I have extensive experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues & coping with grief and loss. I also have experience of supporting people who have experienced trauma and abuse, including toxic relationships. I understand how difficult it is to reach out and ask for support when feeling vulnerable, you may feel that others need the support more or you may not have had counselling before and wonder what to expect. I will explain every part of the process to put you at ease and create a sense of safety. I believe in the non judgement and nurture that counselling offers. Together, in sessions we can explore situations you find difficult, gaining a greater understanding of the reasons why. We will also find practical ways of coping differently so things feel less scary and overwhelming.
As an Integrative Counsellor I use a range of approaches- Person Centred, Gestalt and CBT. I tailor support to you as an individual so that you get the most from our work.
