My name is Debbie and I can offer you sessions in therapeutic counselling.
I have worked in the care sector and mental health field for over 30 years. I understand how tough life can be, and what it’s like to struggle and feel so alone.
Having a connection is the first step in therapy. Trust comes second and then the work begins.
How does talking therapy work?
It’s like a bucket with a tap attached to it. You are the bucket and I am the tap. Over time your bucket has taken on struggles, stress, fear, trauma and all these feelings have built up and eventually reached the surface and Is threatening to overspill. I attach the tap and I slowly turn on the tap and release the volume of feelings and stored emotions. The levels start to drop and as the levels drop it creates space. This space allows you to stop and think about your options and how you can safely deal with issues from the past.
There is no magic wand and the road to freedom can be bumpy. Stay with the route, and don’t leave the journey, You will reach the end. And the view will be amazing.
