Welcome to getting to know me and what I do and where I am, which incidentally isn't Crediton its Nymet Rowland Nr. Lapford,
Hopefully what I write will resonate with you. I believe that when you’re distressed, confused or perhaps feeling overwhelmed and don’t or can’t find anywhere to turn to, counselling/ psychotherapy can be a helpful process. The process of talking about your problems and hearing yourself say things can make them very real, being heard can be validating, and having what you said reflected back to you, can give you insights and understanding.
I’m trained as a Person-Centred Therapist. I’ve been practicing since 2004. I listen carefully and empathically to what you tell me, sometimes I clarify what you mean by what you’ve just said and sometimes I challenge your thought process. My aim is to help you to look at your problems with a new perspective. A new perspective often gives clarity, enlightenment and understanding of yourself and others around you that helps you to move forward.
I support you, offer confidentiality (within a contract), and a safe non-judgemental space in which to build a strong client-therapist relationship. I have various tools and techniques that I can bring to our sessions should you want them that can facilitate your process. The ultimate-goal, is for you to find relief, hope and some light at the end of your tunnel.
I work with individual and couples from 12 years of age upwards. A couple can be any two people. Psychotherapy/counselling is offered on its own or blended according to client’s preference with Reiki or Meditation; please book a free assessment session for more information.
