My name is Jill Bamber and I offer counselling and psychotherapy from consulting rooms in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire and Burnley, Lancashire.
I specialise in working with people who are experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, workplace/school or personal relationship issues, bereavement, loss and low self-esteem. I offer a safe and confidential space for clients to explore their fears and feelings whilst encouraging them to take responsibility for their own well-being. Â
I work in a person-centred way and am also qualified in Online Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and trained in therapeutic play. In addition to generic counselling, I have experience of counselling further and higher education students, victims of domestic abuse, NHS patients and online clients of all ages. As well as my private practice, I also manage a counselling service in two Manchester primary schools.
I hold an enhanced CRB clearance, which means that I am police-checked to work with children as well as adults.
I am a Member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists and Counselling Children and Young People and abide by their Ethical Framework.
I am also a qualified Clinical Supervisor, trained to work with adult, children and young people caseloads.
