There are times in life when things can get too much. Stress at work, relationship break up, grief, loss and trauma are things that we can all experience at times. This can leave us feeling overwhelmed and isolated.
Counselling can be a real support and benefit at these times. Counselling is a “talking therapy” that aims to provide you with a safe space in which you can explore your thoughts and feelings about the issues you are trying to deal with.
I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment to help you gain more understanding of the difficulties and stresses you may be facing and to help you to develop strategies for dealing with these issues.
However, Counselling is not about telling you what to do. Rather, we will work together to help you bring change and achieve a positive outcome.
It takes a lot of courage to take the first step to begin counselling. I would aim to support you through the counselling process at a pace that would help you.
I am an experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist and a fully accredited member of COSCA.
I like to work with an integrative approach in my counselling sessions. This may include a Person-Centered, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) or Psychodynamic approach in the counselling session. I find this helps me respond to the needs of my client. I strive to offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space for my clients. I work in Glasgow City Centre and in the Southside of Glasgow.
