I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. I work in an integrative manner, combining elements of third wave therapies such as Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focussed Therapy (to name but a few) with my CBT knowledge. I believe that each person who comes for therapy is an individual and that how they experience their problems is unique to them. I aim to tailor therapy to each individual focussing on what their needs are in the sessions.
Seeking therapy can be a big step and often takes a lot for people to reach out for that support. I offer a safe and relaxed environment in which we can explore the issues you are seeking help with. I aim to help each individual reach their desired goals in the way which works best for them. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy helps you to identify thought processes and behaviours which are impacting on the way you feel and impacting on your life in a way which you no longer find helpful.
I have experience working with a variety of people in different settings, from the NHS to Addiction Centres, from Charity organisations to Private Practice. Each setting has given me a varied experience. I can help with Depression, Anxieties, Addictions, OCD, Phobias, Self criticism as well as a variety of other issues.
I work with a degree of flexibility in my hours. I am available through the day on a Saturday at The Worsley Centre, for face to face appointments. I am also available for Skype therapy through the week.
