Hello and welcome,

I'm an experienced counsellor working with both adults and young people who present with a wide range of emotional problems and relationship issues.  My counselling practice is in a small private multi-therapy clinic located in the Amersham area, where I can offer daytime and evening appointments.

How can counselling help?

Life can be difficult at times and present a number of issues for us which can feel overwhelming or hard to manage. You may be experiencing feelings of distress, guilt, anger, anxiety, depression, low mood, low self-esteem or loss, among other difficult experiences. You may feel you need a supportive space to understand yourself or your relationships better. Whatever your reasons are for seeking counselling, allowing yourself the time and space to talk and be heard can help you gain a better sense of what is troubling you, increase your self-awareness and better enable you to make positive change.

How I work

I offer a calm and confidential space for you to talk about your experiences; where you can be yourself without fear of judgement.  In the first session, we will look at what has brought you to therapy, what you would like to achieve and how we would work together. Sessions last 50 minutes and there is no limit to how long or short therapy can be. We'll regularly review how the therapy is progressing, and it will be your choice as to however long or short you wish to stay.

What next?

I understand how important it is to find someone you feel you can work with.  Please contact me by telephone or email to discuss your needs further and ask any questions you may have.

Training, qualifications & experience

My core therapeutic approach is Person-Centered, however, I draw on a number of theoretical models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), to best suit the needs of each individual I work with.

Alongside my private practice, where I see clients from the age of 13 upwards, I offer counselling to children and young people in school.  I also work in the charitable sector counselling within an agency specializing in bereavement and loss.

My learning is ongoing and I continue to attend training courses on a regular basis, which allow me to offer my clients the most relevant and effective support and guidance.
