Hi, I'm Kate. I appreciate that we are all living in challenging times right now, the impact of which will be affecting us in a variety of ways. I believe it is important that support remains available and am therefore providing online and telephone counselling. This is underpinned by relevant training to ensure online provision is delivered competently and ethically.
You may be feeling anxious, distressed, fearful of what is happening. You may be angry or feeling a sense of loss. Whatever is going on for you, online counselling is an option for you to safely explore this. It can provide a connection in times when you may be feeling cut off from people. You may be experiencing more longstanding difficulties and online counselling is a space for these too.
No matter the medium, counselling is a partnership where we will work together to develop your understanding and self-awareness; to ultimately help you live a more fulfilled and peaceful life. I will not judge or tell you what to do. Instead, I will be there to support you in your exploration of what you bring.
My approach to counselling is about you and what you need. I work in an integrative way meaning my skills and experience can be used to meet your needs while you remain central to the counselling process. I will listen to your story and draw upon relevant counselling ideas to support your exploration.
I offer both short and long term counselling. We will discuss together what you are looking for and what you hope to gain. Please take a look at my website to learn more about me and my practice.
I use a secure and encrypted video conferencing platform for online counselling and should you choose to make contact, I will provide more information and guidance about how it works. I understand there may be some apprehension about this way of working so I offer a free 30 minute consultation for you to see how it feels and ask any questions.
