About New Season Counselling
My name is Kim, and I run New Season Counselling. I am a qualified counsellor and also a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
I offer a gentle, welcoming and non-judgemental space for you to talk things through.
When something is troubling us it can sometimes be difficult to see a way through our struggles, and in times such as these it can be helpful to reflect on our thoughts, emotions, behaviours and choices. In my work, I offer a space to reflect on these things, and by working with you, help you to facilitate any changes that you feel you may need to make. My work is very client-centred, and I maintain the approach of working at a pace that is right for you – ensuring that we work together in a way that is safe for you.
I am trained as an Integrative Counsellor, which means that I do not use one particular approach, but tailor my work in sessions to suit your specific needs. I use various counselling approaches, including:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Person Centred
Psychodynamic
Gestalt
Narrative Therapy
Internal Family Systems Therapy
Waverley Model
Where appropriate, I also offer clients the opportunity to work more creatively in sessions (using art materials).
As a registered member of the BACP I work in accordance with their ethical guidelines which ensures that I maintain professional standards in my practice. As well as this, I also undertake at least 30 hours of professional development and training per year which helps to continually inform my work.
Kimberley Fry BA (hons), MBACP, ACC
