Are you considering counselling or life coaching but are unsure which is right for you? I provide both these services in an integrated and flexible way to help you face a wide range of life's difficulties and challenges.
My approach to counselling and life coaching has a Person Centred and Humanistic foundation but is also integrative in that other approaches and philosophies inform my practice. For example, the existential approach helps us face some of the raw givens of our lives and how we might live more authentically.
My practice is based on respect, acceptance, trust, genuineness, empathic understanding and a belief in the resources within the client. That the client has the capacity to solve their own problems but those solutions may be somewhat hidden from them. That my interventions can shed light and help others discover those hidden resources and hence their own solutions to their problems.
In addition to my private practice based in Old Windsor, I work at Thames Hospice in Windsor in the field of bereavement and end of life counselling and at Royal Holloway University in Egham providing student counselling.
As a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) I adhere to their Ethical Framework and Code of Conduct with a high level of professionalism.
