Description:

I am a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist with varied experience and a sensitive and down to earth approach. I work with individuals of different ages (adults, young people and children) cultures and backgrounds and with many concerns.

I offer a professional and confidential service where issues and worries can be explored without judgement. I aim to provide a safe space where together we can think about what has brought you to counselling and begin to make sense of your situation.

My approach is psychodynamic, which means we will consider how problems that you are encountering now, might in some way have roots in the past which keep you stuck. Thinking about your concerns in this way often leads to greater clarity and new insights about your current situation, which can help you to move forward. The increased self awareness gained through this process can be liberating and empowering.

I offer individual counselling on a short and long term, open ended basis depending on your situation and the issues you want to explore. Everyone is different and your counselling will be adapted to meet your needs. We meet for an initial 50 minute consultation session to discuss your concerns and whether you feel the counselling I offer will be useful to you. This session is free of charge and is an opportunity for you to ask questions and decide if embarking upon counselling feels right. If you decide that you would like to proceed and we feel we can work together, your sessions will be at the same place and time each week. Sessions are 50 minutes. I charge £40 per session. Concessions may be available on discussion, depending on individual circumstances.
