Matthew Rawlings (MBACP) – Quiet Light Counselling

Counsellor in Glasgow, Glasgow City

Face-To-Face Counselling in Glasgow (West End, Kelvingrove, Finnieston) & Online (Nationwide) | Matthew Rawlings (MBACP).

I provide private, confidential therapy for adults looking to work through difficult personal circumstances, emotional distress, or ongoing mental health challenges.

I am a BACP-registered practitioner working integratively. This means I draw on Person-Centred therapy, Psychodynamic principles, CBT, and Attachment theory, adjusting my approach to suit what you actually want from therapy rather than forcing a standard model.

Who I Work With
Clients come to me for support with a range of issues, including:
• Bereavement, sudden loss, and long-term grief
• Anxiety, panic symptoms, and persistent worry
• Work-related stress, professional exhaustion, and burnout
• Relationship dynamics, boundaries, and difficult family patterns
• Major life changes, career transitions, and questions about personal direction

How We Work
Therapy with me isn’t about giving advice or telling you what to do. It offers a clear, structured space to look closely at what is happening, understand where certain reactions or patterns come from, and figure out how to move forward.

Depending on your preferences, our sessions can focus on practical ways to manage day-to-day pressure, deeper exploration of past experiences, or a mix of both.

Session Formats
• Outdoor Walk & Talk Therapy: Face-to-face sessions held in Kelvingrove Park (Glasgow West End). Working outdoors allows us to talk while moving, which many people find less intense and more reflective than sitting across a desk in a room.
• Online & Telephone Therapy: Secure video or phone appointments for clients living anywhere in Glasgow, Scotland, or the wider UK.

First Steps

Finding a therapist who feels like the right fit is important. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can briefly discuss what you are seeking help with, go over practical details like scheduling and fees, and decide whether working together feels right for you. Contact me at
