Jessica Sings Equalise Counselling

Counsellor in Exeter, Devon

I am a warm, open-minded, and sex-positive counsellor based in Exeter in person and online across Europe, offering a safe and affirming space for self-discovery and healing. I work with people who may feel unworthy, weighed down by past pain, or seeking a deeper understanding of themselves. My aim is to help you explore challenges, celebrate strengths, and move toward empowerment and growth.

My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and sensitive to your individual needs, with a strong emphasis on validating your lived experience. You can share anything with me, even if it feels difficult or shameful. Together we’ll focus on healing and self-acceptance while also developing practical skills to manage thoughts and behaviours in ways that create meaningful change. I sometimes incorporate therapeutic coaching to offer strategies tailored to how your brain works. Above all, I aim to provide a compassionate, collaborative space where you feel supported in exploring who you are and creating the life you want.

I enjoy working with clients who are formally diagnosed or self-identified as neurodiverse, adapting my approach to their unique ways of experiencing the world. I also work from a sex-positive, LGBTQIA+ affirming perspective, welcoming all identities and lifestyles.

My areas of focus include identity, self-esteem, anxiety, early attachment wounds and relationship challenges such as codependency, abandonment/ rejection sensitivity, insecurity, intimacy issues, exploring and asserting bounderies and family conflict. I also support clients who have experienced past or present abuse or unresolved trauma.

I hold a BACP-accredited Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling from Iron Mill College. I have experience working within the NHS and now run my own private practice. My personal journey through therapy taught me how fear of judgment can hold back authenticity and progress, which is why I place such importance on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can be open and fully themselves.

In addition to my diploma, I am committed to ongoing professional development through regular workshops, training, and research. I receive supervision to support and refine my practice, am fully insured, and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
