Michael Phillips Counselling

Counsellor in Plymouth, Devon

Hello, I’m Michael.
There are so many different reasons why you may be visiting my profile, but one thing is certain – you have reached a point where you want things to change, and you have found the courage to take the first step to find a counsellor who works for you and with you. Do read on to see if I may be the counsellor to help you facilitate a new way forward.
I am an Integrative Counsellor which means I work in more than one way using Person Centred, Gestalt, CBT, and Mindfulness models to help clients explore what is troubling them and to heal and grow, all within a safe, non-judgmental space. My work with you will be to facilitate change and to do that I want to see and understand your world as you see it, and your place within it. I want to hear your experience and how that experience impacts on your world.
We will build a trusting relationship in the safe space where we can be honest with each other and, your confidentiality assured. As we will travel together on your journey of change and recovery, you will feel held when needed and empowered through our work together to make your own decisions for healing and growth.
Whatever is troubling you right now, talking with someone is the way forward – even if you decide it isn’t me, do reach out to a counsellor to start your healing process soon.
In addition to my counselling skills, I bring life experience offering added value to the therapeutic experience. With a lifelong passion for people whether through mentoring, coaching, training and motivational skills during careers in management, personnel or past business experience, counselling is my natural home and the vehicle that enables my lifelong passion to be put to best use to help others.
