In my private practice I work with young people, adults and couples in both short term and long term work depending on the individuals requirements.
I gained my experience in working with young adults having worked for 8 years with students age 16 years and above within a Further Educational setting having firstly worked with the Tutors and Staff. Through the NHS I have also worked with GP referrals via the IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) contract and with work employees via the Waveney District Council in Suffolk.
Although my foundation is Psychodynamic I do approach other models where necessary to sensitively adapt to what is needed for the individual, including, CBT, Mentalisation, and Solution-focused.
I work with a calm empathic nature, providing a non-judgemental safe environment for any issues to be explored.
Gaining a better understanding of ourselves and why we react in a particular way can bring relief along with change to enable us to move forward allowing a better future.
