Hello my name is Louise. I have been working in the field of mental health since 2006 and working privately since 2013. I’m a member of the BACP.

My practice is as a psychodynamic counsellor. This means that I’m interested in how we relate, primarily in the here and now. It’s not essential to go back over our entire history, however we do often find that our patterns of relating started earlier on in life. The dynamics of how we relate will be evident in what we bring to therapy, as well as in the therapeutic relationship itself. You may already know what it is you want to work on and focus on a specific piece of therapeutic work, or you may come with a more general wish to improve things. A consultation is sometimes a good way to meet over one or two sessions to see if this type of therapeutic approach feels like the right fit for you and if you’d like to begin a short or longer term work feels best.
