Kairos Counselling

My name is Julie. I am a qualified, registered, accredited counsellor of nearly 20 years.
I am an Integrative counsellor who has training in Cognitive behavioural Therapy (CBT), family counselling and I also have a specialist qualification in counselling children and young people.
I managed a counselling charity for young people and families for 10 years. I have a DBS check.
I am also a qualified, experienced supervisor and trainer and offer supervision to individuals and groups.
My background is in social care and I worked with fostering and adoption issues then as well as having been a foster carer myself. I have also run a therapeutic art group in a prison setting.
I see people with anxiety, anger, abortion, abuse and relationship issues.
I have been particularly successful in working with couples.
I also work with loss, bereavement and attachment issues as well as depression.
I understand it is a difficult step coming to see a stranger to talk about intimate issues but people seem to settle quickly with me and most say they have felt very helped. Many issues disappear completely.
People feed back that they find me non judgemental and an empathic listener.
I try to empower people by helping them to understand the problems and find new ways of dealing with them but also through listening attentively clients find they work through the pain and anxiety of problems too.
My charges are reasonable and negotiable if income is low.
