JEM Counselling

Thank you for taking the first step to see if counselling is for you. I am a positive believer that if you are unhappy in your life that change is possible. As a Senior BACP Accredited Counsellor and Supervisor I know that seeking help can be extremely difficult. As the Practice Manager of JEM Counselling I have a vast amount of experience in both the N.H.S and the private sector dealing with all types of difficulties. Within my practice I can provide an opportunity for you to explore your thoughts and feelings with a fully qualified practitioner who will be sensitive to your needs. During your first session, we will discuss what it is that you need help with. An honest appraisal is given on how I can help you. During this time I will offer you a safe environment where we will agree your individual counselling needs. Within my practice I offer both open- ended counselling and short term counselling for both adults, children (over the age of 8) and families. If you feel that you are unsure counselling is for you I can offer you a free telephone session to discuss your individual needs. This would enable you to have an open discussion to ensure that any fears or apprehension you may have about counselling can be alleviated.
Within the practice I see a wide range of clients and I am able to talk sensitively to ensure that we can assertain the areas that you may wish to explore within counselling. My practice is based on recommendations from people who have had a positive experience of counselling they have received from me.

Within the practice my specialities are in the following areas:- Anxiety and Depression, Couple Counselling, Postnatal depression, Workplace Difficulties, Bullying, Low Self-Esteem, Adoption, Premature Babies, Infertility, Bereavement, and Family Therapy.

I also offer telephone counselling for people who are unable to attend face to face counselling.

The practice is based in Maldon, Essex and there are some sessions available in Chelmsford. I also work part-time for a N.H.S London Hospital.

I have over 10 years experience supervising qualified health professionals which include doctors, physiotherapists, nurses and occupational therapists. I am able to offer Supervision for all theoretical backgrounds.

I undertake E.A.P work for FirstAssist and I am BUPA recognised
